My Story

With seven years of dedicated experience, I am a compassionate integrative counsellor committed to supporting individuals through various life challenges. My extensive background includes working in specialist education settings, where I provided tailored support to students with unique learning needs. Additionally, I have served at a victim support centre for the South African Police Service, offering assistance to those affected by crime, and worked in addiction facilities, helping clients on their journey to recovery.

At the core of my practice is a deep understanding of the human experience, a focus on fostering resilience, and a commitment to ethical and compassionate care. Each session is tailored to your individual needs, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for personal growth and healing.

I hold a Bachelor of Psychology from Pearson Institute of higher education, which led to being a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).  and has completed specialized training in trauma-informed care, ensuring a sensitive and tailored approach to each.

I have worked with a diverse client base, offering services that encompass a range of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. My empathetic nature and insightful guidance empower clients to explore their inner narratives, process complex emotions, and regain control over their lives.

Through a compassionate and client-centred approach, I am able to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for exploration and growth. Counselling sessions with me are designed to inspire confidence and promote healing, equipping clients with tools and strategies to navigate life.

I am passionate about ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research in trauma and psychotherapy techniques to continually enhance their practice.

In addition to one-on-one sessions, I offer workshops and seminars on trauma and therapeutic education, aiming to spread awareness and equip more individuals with the skills needed for healing and resilience.

Whether you are dealing with personal trauma, seeking clarity, or striving for personal development, I welcome you to embark on a transformative journey towards healing and self-discovery. Reach out today to begin your journey with a dedicated and empathetic professional by your side.

My current roles, include counselling in private practice and a teacher at a primary and secondary phase co-educational academy, who provide education and care for young people between the ages of 8 and 16, with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

I play a vital role in advocating and advancing therapeutic education. My unique background and experience in therapeutic practices and education informs my approach to therapy and clinical teaching, allowing me to create inclusive environments where all learners can thrive.
