Trainee Teachers

Service Description

Grounded in trauma-informed and therapeutic practice, this one-day course explores how relationships, emotional safety, classroom environments, and co-regulation can positively influence children’s ability to feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. Trainee teachers will gain practical tools to support students experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, attention-based challenges, and relationship dynamics, while also recognising the importance of caring for their own wellbeing in demanding school environments. Location: In Person Duration: Full day Audience: Trainee Teachers Format: Interactive practical training, reflection, discussion and classroom-based strategies Participants will receive: • Practical trauma-informed strategies ready to use in the classroom • Tools to better understand behaviour and emotional needs • Guidance on creating emotionally safe and inclusive classroom environments • Strategies to support regulation, connection and resilience • Opportunities for reflection on educator wellbeing and self-care • Resources to take back into school settings
